To me it sounds a little muffled and I am fed up of a buzzing when I move infront of the aerial... Given the choice I would have kept my trusty old press button, rotating knob, 30 year old , big battery radio that served me very well... but sadly it died when it fell off a shelf.

Digital is capable of sounding good but squeezing in a lot of stations reduces the quality. That is the problem nowadays. If you cannot get the station you want on FM then DAB is a good option. Listening to the same station on Freeview may sound better since the transmission is of higher quality than DAB
