St. Bees and Parton will have to wait until at least 2009 before they switch to digiatal reception.

This is because they receive their signals direct from Caldbeck rather than the Whitehaven Relay.

So they will not be involved in the Whitehaven switch over.

Doesn't Caldbeck feed every relay station? Or is Whitehaven going to take an analog signal from Caldbeck and convert it to digital?

Whitehaven will probably take its downlink signals off satellite.
