Colour, NICAM, Widescreen and now digital...  if my set breaks now I will not be replacing it... I am fed up with the industry telling me I need a new set every few years... It is just to keep people employed.

Long live the newspaper!  Try wrapping your chips in a Plasma screen!

I think we should all abstain from upgrading to this gravy train...

 Next it will be tv's with integrated washing machines ...

At least watching tumbling clothes would be more interesting than some of the gaming channells listed on a brouchure slipped through my door the other weak.

I understand you point Kevin about all the changes. But whilst we have had stereo, widescreen etc it is still the case that a new TV bought at the end of the 1960's will still receive our current analogue transmissions. That isn't bad at all. Up to now it has been largely a matter of choice.
