Once the UK goes fully digital, the B&W licence will be withdrawn. This is because all freeview adapters, digital satellite boxes, (sky and otherwise) will be colour reception equipment.

Even for the few thousand B&W only homes left, colour receiving equipment will require a colour licence.

So fellow ITV Bordereres,  if you are still using a B&W licence to save a few quid, come early 2009 you can expect a knock on the door from TV Licencing and a nice fine to see in the new year!
