Iíve been told Iím in the coverage area for Freeview but having installed my Freeview box a number of channels seem to be missing and others are breaking up what can I do to cure this?

Your aerial system probably needs upgrading.

Give us a clue jof1 - where are you (town is close enough)....

As Analoguesat says though - it's probable that your existing aerial is either too small (digital is broadcast at a much much lower level than analogue) or of the wrong 'grouping' to pick up the digital signal, possibly combined with an old downlead that's weathered, and made up of single-screened cable, when it really should be double-screened 'satellite grade' cable.
